On August 25, 2015, at about 3:00 P.M., members of the New York State Parole with the assistance of the Dunkirk Police Department, Dunkirk City Police K-9 NICO and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force conducted a search of a residence at 106 Woodrow Ave. in the City of Dunkirk. At the time of the search, authorities located Tyrone Hall and Aliza Hooten. During the course of the search, authorities also located and seized a quantity of cocaine, scales for weighing controlled substances, packaging materials and several thousand dollars in U.S. currency and other negotiable checks. Both Hall and Hooten were taken into custody and transported to the Dunkirk City Jail. As a result of this seizure, authorities have charged Aliza Hooten, age 24, of 106 Woodrow Ave, Dunkirk, NY with a Class B felony of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree. Hooten was subsequently arraigned before City of Dunkirk Court Judge Drag and then committed to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail pending further action by the court. Tyrone Hall, age 29, of 106 Woodrow Ave, Dunkirk, NY was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail on a Parole violation and will be arraigned in Dunkirk City Court at a later date. Hall will also be charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree.
