On September 24, 2018 at 5:32 P.M. the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the City of Dunkirk Police Department SRT executed a search warrant at 62 Lincoln Ave. in the City of Dunkirk. The entry was made without incident and Angel DAVILA, age 54, and Jose DAVILA, age 27, both of 62 Lincoln Ave were both taken into custody. The search warrant, along with arrest warrants for each of the DAVILAs had been issued earlier by the City of Dunkirk Judge Roberts. The arrest warrants charged each of the subjects with one count each of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. The search and arrest warrants were based upon information that had been obtained by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force during a two month long investigation into cocaine sales by Angel and Jose DAVILA from their residence at 62 Lincoln Ave. It is alleged by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force that Angel and Jose DAVILA have sold quantities of cocaine to agents of the Task Force during that time period. Both subjects were transported to the Dunkirk City Jail and are being held pending arraignment.
As a result of the search of the residence the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force seized a quantity of cocaine, Suboxone, an assortment of tablet form controlled substances, scales and packaging materials along with a large amount of currency. As a result of the seize both subjects will be charged with an additional count of Criminal Possession 3rd Degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree. Additional charges will be brought after the other controlled substances are tested. Both of the subjects will be arraigned in Dunkirk Court prior to being committed to the Chautauqua County Jail pending further action from the court.
The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force is comprised of investigators from the City of Dunkirk Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department.
