On December 20, 2016, Dunkirk Police Officers helped deliver holiday bags and ham dinners to seniors.

“The spirit of Christmas filled the air as Officers from the Dunkirk Police delivered holiday bags prepared by Chautauqua County Office for the Aging staff. The annual “Holiday Bags for Solitary Seniors” project provides bags with small gift items along with a ham dinner to seniors in Chautauqua County who otherwise would not receive a present or visit at Christmas,” said Office for the Aging staff member Kate Finch.

This is the second year the Dunkirk Police have participated in this event.  “The Dunkirk Police Department enjoys this event as it gives officers a chance to connect with seniors during the holiday season. We look forward to next year.” said Chief Ortolano.
