Methamphetamine Arrest

On December 12, 2016, at about 11:45 PM, the City of Dunkirk Police Department received information that Jeremiah Haas of Pangolin Street in Dunkirk, who had an outstanding warrant from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, was at 27 Leming St in the City.  Officers responded to that location and located Haas and Torry Kenny of Westfield in a bedroom belonging to Lydia Franklin of the Leming Street address.  While officers were on scene, officers observed evidence of narcotic activity and subsequently obtained a search warrant from Judge Walter Drag.  As a result of the search warrant, officers located a quantity of Methamphetamine and materials for the manufacture of methamphetamine.  A 10 year old girl and an 8 year old boy were present in the home at the time.  All subjects were charged with the listed charges.  Dunkirk Police Department was assisted by the Dunkirk Fire, STRDTF and HAZMAT.  Further charges are pending and crews were on location Tuesday morning for cleanup of toxic materials and evidence gathering. They were all charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree (A/M), Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the Third Degree (D Felony), Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the Third Degree (A/M)
