Upon arrival, the subject, identified as Adam R. Jessie, 25, of N. Gazelle St, Dunkirk, NY, was running thru yards in the area. He was eventually located on the roof of 128 Lake Shore Dr. E. While on the roof, he refused several orders to come down that were given to him by the police. A crowd of people gathered, as well as residents of the building coming out of the apartments to see the commotion. Dunkirk Fire was requested to assist in the removal of Jessie from the roof. Again, he scurried across back and forth on the sharply peaked roof of the two story apartment building. Eventually, a ladder was placed on the west side of the building by DFD. Jessie was coaxed to the ladder, but would still not come down. After several minutes, while half way down the ladder, he entered a second floor window against the orders of police and fire. Patrols entered the apartment building and pulled Jessie in thru the window as he straddled the ledge, apparently attempting to re-exit the house. The occupants of the apartment do not wish charges.
Criminal trespass in the Third Degree charge was placed for the incident on Zebra St. and Jessie was additionally charged with Criminal Nuisance in the Second Degree for his actions on the roof of 128 Lake Shore Dr. E. Jessie was arraigned by Judge Walter Drag and was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $5,000 bail/$10,000 property.
